-hw setting instead of mmap_emu in alsaconf
-mpd renicing at -19
-using latest mpd version (17.0 git)
-wi-fi ready out of the box via wicd-curses
-less daemons and processes active
-cpu governor set to performance
-cohexistence of nas folder and fat32 key on same database
-if no usb dac is plugged, then analog jack becomes default
-nas tweakings
-furhter usb tweakings
-a nice splashscreen
-mpc added

time to get back to work, after christmas’ never ending lunchs and new years’ eve’s hangover… With the support of the friends of tforumhifi.com I collected a good amount of feedbacks, and decided to start developing the second revision of RaspyFi. These are the new feature to come:

1- Up do date. It will be based on the latest Raspbian, instead on Moebius Linux. Of course, it will be stripped down in order to be as lightweight as possible. That will also mean that it will support 512 model B.

2- Built in wi-fi dongle support with wicd-curses preinstalled.

3- Image will fit in 1gb SD card, so you’ll have more probabilities to have a suitable SD Card.

4- Realtime support, patching current Rasbian release in order to allow mpd to work in Real-time mode. This could have some drawbacks, but it’s worth’s trying.

5- Furhter minor optimizations.
