Some information about my bug:
I do all the steps what wrote Marko Han. I hear music on background but it is popping always.
I have hiFace 1 and Sabre Buffalo II DAC. With laptop works perfectly.

all going now with the remaining problems:
* It locks up pretty frequently (usually when using Airplay)
* Can’t get NAS to mount

alsabase.conf – I did this – not perfect as it completely knocks out default sound but it works….
options snd-bcm2835 index=-2
options snd-usb-hiface index=0

to get the Hiface driver to load automatically in /etc/modules rebuild the module list by doing this:

sudo depmod -a

JKenny USB->I2S battery powered based on HiFace Evo feeding a Twisted Pair Audio Buffalo II – great combo!
I did get the driver working – needed to edit alsabase.conf and force the USB to take index 0 instead of the built in audio.
The above fix to load the module disappears after every reboot – will find a way to make it stick.
At least it works!
