Thanks for the RaspyFi, I love it!
2 weeks ago, a Raspberry Pi was doing nothing but collecting dust and now it's a High Quality Sound Sysytem. Even for me (unable to boil an egg) installing was easy!
My current setup:
- Raspberry pi
- Shiit Modi DAC
- Harman/Kardon Soundsticks
- Apple USB Power Adapter (5W, 1A)
Sound is excellent and the system looks good after I'm finished building a Plywood case for the Pi according to the plans of Stephen: (http://singlelensreflections.b…..r-and.html)
The only drawbacks for now are:
- Unable to add radiostreams such as: http://icecast.omroep.nl/radio4-bb-mp3
- When touching the DAC the sound will drop. According to Shiit-Tech, the Modi can be static-sensitive when plugged into some computers. Just don't touch the Shiit.
The system is working on a daily base and I am impressed by it!
Greetings,
Nix
