Hello experts,
I yust found this Page with a dac that uses I2S from the PI.

Maybe this is interesting for some of you … for me it is to heavy

Yes, it is heavy in terms of parts (costs) and "how to DIY".
I am working on optimization, but still fighting for a "hum and noise" free DAC.
Soldering it yourself can be quite tough (the LDOs).
I am in the process to clarify who could help to manufacture and solder (also to make it more cost-effective).
BTW:
You could order PCB and omit the LDOs. Provide the voltage needed if you have a "hum free" PSU with 3.5V (100mA), 5V (100mA, without to power the RPi) and 2x 15V (0.8 – 1.0A).
Best regards

Just to tell you,
Rpi DAC works with Volumio: http://volumio.org/
If you want to optimize costs – do not install all parts.
Works great with updated Raspbian and Volumio.
Best regards
Torsten
