Using ARIO I see all the metadata of the contents of the drive I have plugged in but nothing will start playing.
Using an AQ Dragonfly and it never turns green.
I see
[email protected] ~ $ sudo aplay -l
**** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices ****
card 0: DragonFly [AudioQuest DragonFly], device 0: USB Audio [USB Audio]
Subdevices: 1/1
Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
Any help/direction would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
E

Which version are you using? Is the hd fat32 or ntfs?
I'm using the latest build
Drive is fat32
Also can't get any of the streaming radio to play.

In my opinion it could be a PSU issue, try to use a different one with more amps…
Try to describe better the issue you're having…

Thanks for your prompt response.
Sorry but I'm not sure how else to describe the issue.
Using ARIO I see all my music from the USB HD as well as all the streaming stations but nothing will even start to play, not even the streaming radio stations.
I have an Audio Quest Dragonfly connected to the USB port, it powers up fine.
I can also see it when I run
[email protected] ~ $ sudo aplay -l
**** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices ****
card 0: DragonFly [AudioQuest DragonFly], device 0: USB Audio [USB Audio]
Subdevices: 1/1
Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
I also tried the analog output from the PI without the USB Dac attached and get the same results.

Hi,
I think I have the same issue. I can see all the contents with various clients but cannot play (getting paused playback, I think).
I tried to adjust volume via ssh but get the following errors :
sudo alsamixer
cannot open mixer: No such file or directory
sudo amixer
amixer: Mixer attach default error: No such file or directory
When using mpc via ssh:
mpc play
ERROR: Failed to open audio output
mpc volume +1
error: problems setting volume
Any ideas?
Thanks!
