A bugfix will be released soon... If you just put some music on a thumb drive you'll get why raspyfi is so loved.. .And when those bugs will be fixed it will be maybe better...

I am interested in using this for background music to replace my internet radio which no longer works as the manufacture has decided to not support it any more.

I would like to use the Raspyfi with analog out as I do not want the extra wires and external DAC. After all, I only need background music.

I do have this running but I find it is horrifically slow.

First, I tired a 256M pi but it just won't work.

So, I am now using a 512MB pi and it sort of works.

I am trying to connect to my samba server using the NAS option and it seems to take forever to load or index the music.

Then with every boot it seems I must go through the process of Settings > Database where I have to select SAVE MOUNT and then wait....

I have spent a whole day fighting with the slowness and "hanging" and if this is how it works then I just don't get what is so great about Raspyfi?

I assume I am missing something because I don't see any comments about the slowness.

Am I missing something?
