I'm using the Final 1.0 and apt-get upgrade present quite an amount of packages to update. I notice most of them were core packages. Is it safe to update and retain all modifications made by the Raspyfi team?
When you update, it's very likely you'll lose some of our otpimizations, and something may not work… So we suggest not to upgrade, unless you want to see if something improves and you can flash again…
Thanks, that clears it up alot. I'll keep it stock and leave it to the experts
I wonder it would be efficient to echo "package hold" | dpkg --set-selections for Raspyfi's modified packages. I'll read through your blog post regarding how RC2 came together and see if its feasible to come up with a list.
