Hi guys , got the system playing music and sounding very good but I am only seeing about 5% of my music collection. Using either GMPC on my windows machine or Mpad on the ipad I have tried refreshing the database but no joy.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Gordon, the database needs a lot to index all your music… Just leave it updating for 20 mins or so… Let me know!

Have you checked you have the permissions for those folders.. try navigating to your main music directory using putty and use the following command "sudo chmod -R 777 ." this will give mpd permsiion to all the files within that directory (obviously re-scan for music again)

Add this line

FS_MOUNTOPTIONS="-fstype=vfat,utf8 -fstype=fat,utf8"

to /etc/usbmount/usbmount.conf

and let me know!
