Thanks but I cannot find the answer in your suggested link.
Hi Fourwed,
the webui doesn't have a safe remove option. This is because the system relies on music database to know what music you have. If you disconnect USB, you then have to update the db, which may cause long waits… But I will think on a similar option…
You now have 2 options: SSH or shut down raspyfi and remove…

Hi there,
I was wondering about an option too for removing usb Hard-Drive, for power saving reasons. I tried out a spin-down script but apparently there is some process which keeps the hdd from spinning down. At the moment I use webmin for unmounting but it is not a perfect solution.
I would appreciate some sort of spinning down script implemented in the distro. Anyways very nice work so far.
Best,
Paul

I have a different need because, IMHO, USB flash drive should sound better. That is why I have to copy new songs to it and It is always better to have a nice little button to remove my drive safely.
So far, there is no error even I just stop playing music and remove the USB flash drive unsafely. Guess I might be in luck.

You asked why admin has not written to this thread and in the thread I linked to admin writes that he is very busy working on the next Raspyfi release.
