After upgrading the kernel as suggested on the usb dac info page the pi no longer connects to the share.

dmeg:
[ 28.404520] CIFS VFS: Send error in SessSetup = -13
[ 28.404817] CIFS VFS: cifs_mount failed w/return code = -13

mount -a:
mount error(13): Permission denied
Refer to the mount.cifs(8) manual page (e.g. man mount.cifs)

Does anybody has a idea how to solve this?

Upgrading Synology DSM software solved the mounting problem!
No luck with sound tough. Any other Stello u3 users who experience no sound? Led turns green when playing a file but no sound coming trough the speakers.
Any ideas?

Plug the DAC before playing. Then, power the PI. Please paste the output of:

sudo aplay -l

Found the beta release and i have sound now …. When using subdirectorys MPD can not add the files in the database. When trying "cd /Mnt/Nas/Nas/someartist" console returns: "Permission denied". Files added to the root music get scanned in the db.
Is this a setting in the /etc/auto.nas?

Solved! Users must have executable rights to change dir. Read/write alone is not enough.
