Submitted a request at Rogue Amoeba, hope they will come with a solution. Realy like Airfoil better in handling things as native airplay support on osx....

Hi guys,
I was experiencing the same problem but found out you don't need Airfoil on osx to stream to your RaspyFi. You can select the RaspyFi as output device in your System Preferences > Sound > Output settings.
Tip: you can also access this setting by holding the alt key and clicking on your volume icon in your taskbar.

Yes it's working but videos are out of sync. Airfoil should be better...

That's the error (from another forum):
"(...)Under some circumstances, RTSP responses would be split into multiple
packets. This causes Airfoil to barf, as it interprets the end of the
packet as the end of the response. Since TCP_CORK is not portable, this
fix buffers the packet on the stack before using a single write.(...)"

Hey, just got everthing going, loving it so far!
Airplay is working no drama from itunes, and through the system, but I get the error below when I try to transmit using airfoil.
(Similar to this error https://github.com/abrasive/shairport/issues/213)
Is there something I can change to sort this, or is Airfoil not compatible?
Thanks!
Dean.
