So.. I downloaded this for using the AirPlay plugin with my DAC.
But it just isn't working out of the box as promised.
Now i have been working with it and Googling it for hours, but still not even a clue about what i should do.
I have booted my RPi with the OS, and i can control and play music from the RaspyPi network interface, so everything until that works.
But when i wanted to use AirPlay, the happines stopped.
I couldn't find it either on my Mac, iPhone or the iPad.
I tried restarting the RPi, but still no AirPlay
I maked sure that all of the music was stopped and that no music was in the que, but still no succes
I tried reinstalling the RPi with RaspyPi, but still no succes
I have tried closing absolutely every network interface down, but still no AirPlay.
Tell me how to get this working?!
Do you have any other AirPlay devices in your house that you can see and connect with? If not, it might be a network problem. Possibly your router blocks the ports used to see and connect to an Airplay device.

Have the same problems as you and tried everything you described.
Got raspbmc on the same network with functioning airplay so i have no idea whats wrong :S
Gave up and built a automatic watering system instead…
Might be an idea to make the PI to create an access point (if you have a wifi diongle) to which you can connect and scan available devices to simplify the network a bit.
