Hi I love using the airplay function, for when i have visitors that want to play music thats not in my playlist. It seems to work but I have problems that every clip I play 3 or 4 times hangs a second and then continues playing the total clip. The wifi on my ipad shows maximum signal. Do other users exprience the same behavior? off topic I read that the update library function is slower than before. I updated my library for the second time because i deleted a folder witch contained one album. It took the system several hours to update my library. Isn't that a bit slow for one changed folder?
Loving the rest:-)
Is Airplay working good with other users? I would like to know because in my setup i have lot's of trouble with clipping using airplay. My Pi is connected on with a cable on my router (TP Link WR1043ND) and my ipad is connected with wifi and shows maximum signal. I have already tried to put my router to Channel Width: 20MHz but it didn't make a difference.
I hope other people are having better luck?
Solved it!! I thought my network was ok and for normal interneting that was the case but it seems airplay needs a more stable and fast (upload) connection. I placed a new accespoint a TL-WA801ND (router -> networkcable->accespoint->wifi) in the room where my Raspyfi is. And now everything works perfect. A little tip for people who want the best wifi adapter the TL-WA801ND is also capable op being a client so you get a far superiour wifi adapter with its own powersupply and better reception then any wifi dongle you can find, it is connected trough the network input on your Raspberry Pi
