Hi mike,
yes, I'm patient.
But it ist weekend and I got some time to play.
So I have to admit, that you catched me on the wrong foot.
24/192 clitches also via usb. On low level, like a good old turntabel. Heard it just listening to some quiet jazz stuff. So may be therefor a more powerfull platform is needed.
But:
I allready told about my suspicion that buffering could be the reasen for the occasional interrupts by playing via NAS. So I chanched mpd.conf to
buffer_before_play "0%"
And: Bingo!!!
No more interrupts playing LAN. Both 16/44 and 24/96.
No clitches, no interrupts, all fine for 16/44 and 24/96, on usb and on NAS. So therefor pi is all you need.
That's a lot. May be for me that's all.
Okay, now let's be patient waiting for the final.
thomasGood tip!!!! Thanks!
I recently switched from a WiFi connection to a wired LAN connection and have been getting the same problem – pops and clicks. Especially noticeable during sustained ambient background-type noises. Tried this fix but it didn't work, regardless of quality (16/44 and 24/96). Then I switched back to WiFi… and everything works perfectly! So much for wires.
I am sharing my music on a Windows Home Server 2011 share, through a Netgear R6300 802.11ac Dual Band Gigabit WiFi Router. When connected through the LAN, I'm going via a TP-Link TL-SG1005D 5-Port Gigabit Unmanaged Desktop Switch. I haven't tested yet, but I wonder if using a switch is somehow the problem, or if it's some other aspect of the physical structure of my network that's the problem. I estimate around 20m of cable from the router to the switch and maybe 1m from there to the Pi. Could there be some sensitivity due to this? Or is it more likely to be the protocols used to transfer data on a wired vs. wireless connection?
Regardless, it's working over WiFi for now so I'm happy. But curious. I may try bypassing the switch when I get a moment.
Anyway, looking forward to all the new stuff that's coming soon – it's looking great!
Cheers,
Karli
Hello,
would it be possible to stream music over icecast with raspyFi and did you include the webradio function?
I was not able to add radio stations with "sudo mpc add http://URLtiWEBSTATION" with this beta.
Looking forward to the new version

Hello,
Yesterday i installed the Raspyfi on my Raspberry Pi. Well done guys! It works like a charm!
I've got one question though… Where do i keep my spotify username and password in the web gui?
the manual states this:
http://www.raspyfi.com/raspyfi…../#section5
You need a Spotify premium account to do this.
All you have to do is insert your username and password (METTERE CONFIGURAZIONE WEBUI
To play from Spotify you have 2 options:
-First Method, insert your tracks into playlist
1-Open your win/mac spotify client, search a song or add it to a playlist, right-click on it and “copy Spotify URI”
2- From GMPC, select “Tools” then “Add Url” , write spt:// and then paste the URI you previously copied. Done!
-Second Method, use despotify gui for continuous artist playback
1- Connect to RaspyFi via SSH, type despotify, then :connect
2- Insert your Spotify and Password
3- Type :search , then feel free to browse Spotify library by searching, to play press enter. More Info here
4- To play and pause use spacebar, to quit type :quit
despotify works, no problem. But the thing is that i want to play my Spotify tracks in MPD. But i have to set up a username and password in order to let MPD connect to spotify right? Where do i do thaT?
