Nas -fstype=cifs,file_mode=0777,dir_mode=0777,iocharset=utf8,sec=ntlm,rsize=2048,wsize=4096,cache=strict,username=abc,password=xyz ://192.168.0.105/music
or
Nas -fstype=cifs,file_mode=0777,dir_mode=0777,iocharset=utf8,sec=ntlm,rsize=2048,wsize=4096,cache=strict,username=abc,password=xyz ://192.168.0.105/music
But, I have a synology as well (got it today, these Nas are fantastic, I used to have a self built Nas with openmediavault, but this is another planet…)
and I bet the first one will work!
Let me know!

Thank you, Kyle and Admin.
This command works in my case. Now my RaspyFi can load my NAS. Another problem appeared, the database only shows a fraction of my collections of my songs, no matter how I update/refresh it.. Would you guys please help me again? Thank you very much!!

Thank you everyone, I think RaspyFi now can load all my songs. It just needs some time to load my few thousands of FLAC. Now I can see all my songs.

Happy to know it! Let me know what you think about it!
Thank you, admin! The sound is good, and the mpd running smoothly.

Any update on when a final can be expected? Just got my eyes opend up on the setting a system up including a pi and a USB DAC. Its basically what I had been looking for.. Now I am anxious to grab a final ready to go version of your image.
If there is anything I can do for help, let me know. I am not sure whether I am suitable but I am a professional coder with a decent amount of networking and linux knowledge.
Samba is installed by default on this release, is it right?
Then can i access to mounted ntfs usb disk from my pc, windows 7? this is usefull to copy music to them straight from network…
but I can't find samba shares from Raspberry on my network…
Thanks…

Will I2S output on the Pi be in the next update, or is that still a long way off? I'd like to use the sabre DAC directly, without the usb to I2S dongle, because the shipping on that is ridiculous now! You've done a great job so far on this OS by the way, I'm rather enjoying my Pi-Fi!
Hello Mike..
News about next release?
I'm curious to test it, hoping resolving hicks and pops… except this raspy sounds really nice!!!

Is it OK to install the Beta on a 4GB Card? Its 3.95 GB so worried that's whats causing speed issues.
Next release is almost finished… It took a little longer than what initially thought…
As for the SD ,no problem with 4 gigs… The OS itselfs is 900 mb…

Piacere rivederti qui!!!!
Piacere mio Mike!!!
Seguo con estremo interesse il tuo splendido lavoro…
Since a few days, I am running RC2. Great project!
I noticed internetradio is not supported in RC2, but will be in the 1.0. Is it worth waiting for 1.0 or shall I download and use this 1.0 beta?
Thanks!

Hello,
Beta 1 is working really well (did not yet tested with dac sabre and usb to i2s XMOS adaptor).I was so happy to see that ALAC is now supported ),
- All sound files on the NAS.
- I like the web admin page, very handy.
- I've notice that the MPD version is 0.17.5 and not 0.18 as is was the case in the RC2
- Huge & great work !!!
One thing I did not managed to do is to add another "server" in nginx (the other "server" (on a different port obviously) would be for "presenting" the music structure to MPAD/Mpod clients … and retrieving nicely my own folder.jpg covers files (I do no like the search online feature). Before I was using lighttpd. I did have a look in the nginx doc but still did not find the trick (I know there is sth to do with , ).
…. Any nginx specialist over there ?
Btw, I've seen interesting pages on the i2s audio output directly from the raspberry (http://www.noiseisgood.co.nz/?p=365, http://blog.koalo.de/2013/05/i…..ry-pi.html). This sounds more complex as it look I guess. Mike, do you mange to tackle this subject ?
