I want to setup a very low power FM radio station. (Part 15 in the US) I would like to feed the transmitter with audio from the RPi. But I don't and won't be able to babysit it. So I need to setup playlists with some "events". The pi will be headless. And I would just use the audio out to feed the transmitter. The whole thing, radio, pi, battery for a weekend will fit in a ammo can. I'm not sure of the mp3 player program. I'm thinking of a shell program, to pick the music from the list and at certain times do different things, like play the time. etc.
Why? There are a group that like to go camping. So the idea is to have the music available. Oh, this whole thing might just run on a solar panel.
Thanks,
